Youth Unlimited is a behavioral health agency that provides therapeutic foster care, residential for one care, and intensive outpatient mental health treatment.
Rather than entering residential treatment, therapeutic foster care allows youth to receive individualized services and support while staying in a home/family setting. Foster parents are equipped with the knowledge and resources to help our youth build life skills and thrive: personally, socially, and academically.
Our Therapists specialize in working with children and adolescents, providing support and treatment for youth in the child welfare system who have experienced abuse, neglect, and other traumatic events. YUI believes that forming a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for successful treatment. Working closely with each youth, their Proctor family, and their broader support system, we develop individualized treatment plans that address symptoms and concerns while building on strengths and fostering resilience.
The Lillyben Home (residential for one) provides a new model of specialized care for ODHS clients with extraordinary needs who require individualized services in a homelike shelter setting.

Youth Unlimited, Inc. is dedicated to providing unwavering support and compassion to every youth in need, ensuring their safety, stability, and well-being. Our mission centers on placing youth in loving and accountable foster homes with a strong emphasis on celebrating and providing supportive care and services.

How We Work.
We use a Collaborative Problem Solving approach to support youth with challenging behavior and the foster parents who care for them. According to Think:Kids — a ground-breaking program in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital — youth with challenging behavior “don’t lack the will to behave well. They lack the skills to behave well.”
Collaborative Problem Solving helps adults shift to a more compassionate mindset and work with the youth to build the skills they need to thrive.

How we protect children.
We do everything we can to ensure our youth are living in safe, stable environments and that foster parents have the support they need to bring their best to the youth in their care. We do this by:
Conducting background checks for all prospective foster parents.
Certifying every home where our youth are placed, including initial training and ongoing education for foster parents.
Providing thoughtful case management, with weekly visits and special support from trained staff.
Offering 24/7, on-call crisis support.
